Toyota Fortuner Price in Nepal
Model | Fuel Type | Transmission | Price |

Fortuner Automatic | Diesel | 6- Speed Automatic | 1,36,00,000 |
Exterior
The new Fortuner is a little longer and wider than its predecessor. Toyota gave it a tough body-on-frame construction, like the one on Hilux truck.
The Fortuner holds a slim wrap around headlights and three slated chrome grille on the front. It also has self-leveling bi-beam, LED projector headlamps, and daytime running lights to give it more road presence.
At the rear end, a chrome plate with the Fortuner branding connects the two tail lamps. You get a big spoiler a shark fin antenna and roof rails on top.
There are also more creases along the bonnet and the body to make it more attractive. The chrome strip running along the window lines is a nice tough try by the designers. The 18-inch alloy wheels give a more aggressive look on this beast.
Interior
The cabin looks modern and is well integrated with a black and brown color theme. Good quality leather covers the seats, dashboard and the steering wheel to give a nice finish. The steering wheel gets a nice touch of wood on top with the necessary command buttons in the middle.
The instrument cluster is well lit and a push start button sits nearby. The touchscreen infotainment system and 6 speakers make long rides enjoyable. It also has a smart entry, automatic power back door, and electrically adjustable mirrors.
The 7 seater SUV is very spacious and you won’t need to worry about less legroom in this car. The driver seat is wide, comfortable and has the 8-way electric adjustable system. The armrest is another feature that gives the driver a better driving experience.
The Fortuner also gets a side step for easier access into this tall car. There is a rear parking sensor but none on the front end.
Toyota did not compromise on safety with this big vehicle. They gave it Hill/Downhill Assist Control, Vehicle Stability Control, and Cruise Control. ABS, EBD, Traction Control and Brake Assist help in the brake department. 7 airbags, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and 3-point seatbelts add extra protection.
Performance
The second generation Fortuner gets a smaller 2.8L diesel engine yet gives more power than before.
This engine with the combination of 6-Speed Automatic Transmission can churn out max power and torque of 175 BHP and 450 Nm. The gear lever looks top class and easy to operate. You can even drive in manual mode with the help of paddle shifters placed behind the steering wheel.
There are three driving modes to choose from, the default normal mode, eco mode, and power mode. You can switch driving modes with a press of a button.
When you drive in the normal mode there is a balance of power and economy. If you want more power then switch to power mode. You will get better acceleration and sharper throttle. But the eco mode is more suitable for city drives as you get a smoother experience. Though the air-con level drops down in this mode, it is still enough to keep the car cool.
You also have the option of going for the 2.8L diesel engine with manual transmission. This engine can produce the same power as the automatic transmission but max torque is lower at 420 Nm. But, this engine is more fuel efficient and can give you about 14 km per liter. Whereas the automatic transmission can only give 7-10 km per liter.
